Kimberly Adams

Kimberly fell in love with the arts at a young age. Throughout her youth and college years, she sampled different techniques, trying pastels and metal sculpting. After receiving a double degree in fine art and business administration, she spent 20 years in the corporate world, traveling and raising her two children. In June of 2014, she left her corporate career to pursue her love for art full time.

“In a culture full of stress and chaos,” Kimberly says, “painting is my way of encouraging people to stop, pause, and enjoy the moment. When you walk into a room and see one of my vibrant landscapes, I hope you’ll want to linger in front of it. I always create a path into my paintings, and I invite you to follow that pathway to a better place where joy, happiness, and positive energy await you.”

Kimberly describes her style as modern contemporary with a hint of impressionism. She feels a kinship with the original masters, such as Claude Monet, Emily Carr, Gustav Klimt, and Alphonse Mucha. Adopting their confidence in using color to express feeling, she applies daubs of creamy, richly pigmented oil paint to every canvas, allowing the pure, vivid colors to visually blend on the surface and in the viewer’s eye. She’s added a personal twist to her creative process: painting only with her fingertips and a few unconventional tools.

Kimberly teaches and showcases her artwork at Cole Gallery in Edmonds, Washington. Her work has also been featured in galleries in Kirkland, Washington, Big Sky, Montana and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. You can find reproductions of her work on iCanvas and view her portfolio on her website: artbykimberlyadams.com.
